Blue Osa Volunteer Application

Note: We require a 3-month commitment for all work-trade positions.

Your primary role will be to work 25 hours in one of the following positions. Please choose ONE preferred role.

1. Applying for our "Content Creator (Social Media / Digital)" role? Please provide the following:

• Create a sample Reel that reflects your design capabilities and what you believe would represent Blue Osa and support our Instagram feed.
• Use Canva or your preferred platform to create it.
• Feel free to pull images and/or video clips from what we currently have posted.
• Upload your file here for us to view with your application

2. Applying for our "Writer / Blogger" position? Please provide the following:

• A wellness / travel blog you've already written
• OR... if you don't have one to share, write a sample post for us to review ⬇
• Review our Blog here and then create a simple, sample blog post that you think would be a fit for our blog
• Include why you've selected the topic, and include any SEO you've considered
• Upload your sample post here for us to view with your application

3. Applying for our "Photographer/Videographer & Editor" position? Please provide the following:

• If you have not linked to your portfolio of work above, please upload samples of your work here.

Note, work-trade applicants must have:

• A minimum of 200hr Yoga Teacher Certification
• A willingness to teach classes that accommodate all levels of students as needed when guests are present

Your yoga teaching hours will apply to your weekly 25-hour work-trade requirement; however, you will only teach when guests are present. Classes are typically 60 minutes long. 

Our work-trade positions schedule & requirements are:

• 25 hours per week / 3-month commitment
• Exact schedule varies by role
• Teach classes as needed when guests are present
• Submit a brief report on your work projects and deliverables every Friday via email

• Guest areas are shared—keep them clean and presentable
• Guest rooms are off-limits

2. Be Professional

• No romantic/sexual relationships with guests or staff
• Maintain healthy, respectful boundaries

3. Be Accountable

• Communicate openly
• Take ownership of your experience

4. Honor the Environment

• No drugs
• Mindful alcohol use
• Respect wildlife (no feeding animals)

5. Live the Culture

• Morning silence until 7:30am
• Quiet evenings after 8:30pm
• Be present, engaged, and respectful
